Gabriel Purdey British
Managing Director

Gabriel Purdey

Managing Director

Committed, Demanding and Impatient

To build a successful business first you must get the right people in the right places. This is the view in which Gabriel believes in and below, in no particular order, is the highly skilled, committed and fun team he has put together.

Favourite bar 'Rose Petal with Lavender'

Simone Debernardi Italian

Simone Debernardi

Passionate, sporty and inquisitive

An insurmountable passion for food and wine is what drives Simone. He has been fundamentally important in helping create the Discover brand, despite running his own business he has helped design Discover bars from start to finish. A deeply intelligent individual and a patriotic Italian Simone is a huge asset to Discover, Simone was crucial in making sure Discover used healthy flavours. He is after all someone who truly respects the food on their plate and the wine in their glass.

Favourite bar 'Gianduiotto'

Julien Roger French
Graphic Designer

Julien Roger

Graphic Designer

Optimistic, caffeinated, never self-satisfied

Julien is simply a fountain of creativity, it took him no time to understand the brand. The cocoa bean rocket logo is a visual example of his work but he offers so much more. His calm and relaxed approach and his understanding of how to get the best out of himself leads to not only great work but also a positive effect on anyone who works with him. Has been a very important member of the team in year one and no doubt will be designing more packaging and promotional material for us in the future.

Favourite bar 'Coffee and Cardamom'

Holly Purdey British
Utility player

Holly Purdey

Utility Player

Energetic, Unique, Determined

Whilst Holly has been described as 'Gabriels sister' this does her a huge disservice. She has the biggest array of talents in the team, one day she can sell chocolate bars at a market and then return to the factory in the evening and do the plumbing and building work. A constant positive outlook and a can do attitude means she slips seamlessly into the team.

Favourite bar 'Fig and Cashew'

Ivan Obradovic Serbian
Web designer

Ivan Obradovic

Web Designer

Nothing is impossible

A can do attitude doesn't sum Ivan up well enough, anything you ask him to do on the website and he will find a way to do it. Having designed websites since his teenage years he possesses incredible knowledge that most web designers simply can not match. Works well with Juliens designs and even if they work independently they often reach the same conclusions and this makes Ivan fit very well into the close knit team at Discover.

Favourite bar 'Dark chocolate'

Jane Ruth British

Jane Ruth

Positive, conscientious, passionate

Jane Ruth is one of the few accountants you can meet where she finds solutions, not problems, she focuses on what you have and not what you don't. Polite but straight talking Jane will make it clear when a deadline has to be met. Jane was crucial in writing the business plan and financial forecasts which allowed Discover to find the relevant investment and in turn build its own factory in West Somerset.
