All our flavours — some unique to chocolate — are very different from traditional chocolate offerings. Our fruit & nut, for example, has dispensed with boring old raisin and hazelnut — we have created fig and cashew!
We also struck upon the novel idea of utilising flavours popular in other areas of modern cuisine, and came up with ideas such as Himalayan Pink Salt, whilst creating new flavours such as Coffee and Cardamom
Taking risks is encouraged at Discover, many of our testers were unsure of launching a Rose Petal and Lavender bar, ‘Lavender is for perfume not chocolate’ many people said, but we took the risk and launched it and is has been a very steady seller and certainly has its fans out there.
Unusual flavours are part of our overall ethos. However don’t forget that Discover Chocolate is also sweetened with Stevia and is Palm Oil, GMO and Gluten Free whilst the cocoa comes from a strong ethical background in the Quality Partner Program. All of our chocolate is handmade on the edge of Exmoor in the UK.
